Matthew Solon is an award-winning writer. His drama for BBC World Service, The Great Charter, celebrates the 800th anniversary of Magna Carta and was directed by Nicolas Jackson.
His drama about the collapse of Lehman Brothers, The Day That Lehman Died won a coveted Peabody Award in the US as well as a Sony Radio Award. He also wrote Five Days in May, a dramatic reconstruction of the tense negotiations between the political parties after the 2010 UK general election, How To Make Your First Billion, about an internet start-up in Silicon Valley, and recently for BBC Radio 4 a series about religious tensions in a British school, Recent Events At Collington House.
