Born in Valencia in 1940, Spanish playwright and theatre director.
Career
Professor at the Instituto del Teatro of Barcelona since 1971. From 1988 to 1997 he was director of the Sala Beckett in Barcelona, headquarters of Teatro Fronterizo. In 1993 became Artistic Director of the Festival Iberoamericano de Teatro in Cádiz. In 2005-06, Artistic Director of the Teatro Metastasio, Stabile della Toscana (Prato). In 2007 he was elected member of the Board of Directors of the Sociedad General de Autores y Editores (SGAE). He currently directs Nuevo Teatro Fronterizo in Madrid.
Works
Author of over forty theatrical texts, including original works, adaptations and dramatisations, some unpublished, highlights of which include Terror y Miseria en el primer franquismo (cuatro escenas, 1979); Ñaque o De piojos y actores (1980); ¡Ay, Carmela! (1986); Mísero Próspero (1992); El lector por horas (1996); Flechas del ángel del olvido (2004); Próspero sueña Julieta (o viceversa) (2010).
